Almost There

I decided that since I hardly ever post with a picture of me that I would put one on here. This is not totally my fault, its the pink camera that Justin doesn't like to hold simply because its pink. I am now 28 weeks. I may look small but the doctor says that our little boy is growing great. Which is always good to hear. I have been feeling alright besides being very tired.

I do get a little more tired than the average pregnant mother. I didn't get started on the medicine yet for my low platelets because they stayed the same which was 48,000. The doctor is concerned that once I stop taking the medicine my platelets would drop significantly. So she is waiting to see if they drop any lower. If you are thinking what are platelets? You are in luck because I will tell you. I have an autoimmune disorder called ITP, I had this before I got pregnant and have had three medications for it. Basically, blood platelets are tiny things in your blood that causes your blood to clot. For example, if you got cut, your platelets would stop the bleeding. The average person has somewhere in the range of 150,000 to 400,000 in there blood. For some reason my immune system started attacking my platelets. Nobody knows why this happens. When this first happened I was just married for eight months. They dropped to 5,000 which is dangerous because I could have internal bleeding and not know it. When my platelets drop I get tired very easily. I have a hard time doing my daily chores. Thank you to those wonderful people who have been so willing to help me out.
